Transportation Engineer

- Experience with: geometrical layout of intersections and roadways including rural, urban and limited access facilities; or the design of traffic signals and signing and pavement markings

Job Description
- Assisting professional engineers in the development of engineering plan sets, studies and performing field investigations.
- The development of engineering plans will include creating and editing CADD files using ORD and determining plan quantities for bidding purposes.
- Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions in the marketing, design and construction phases
- Field investigation tasks may include obtaining field measurements, traffic data collection and engineering evaluations.
- Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
- Position will also include attending in-office coordination meetings and client meetings
- Client communications via email, telephone and office/field meetings.
- Administrative duties to include assembly of plan sets, study documents, meeting minutes and transmittal letters.
- Project engineering and management.
- Position may include occasional oversight of intern staff.

Job Description
- Developing 2D & 3D models for roadway design projects that meet current FDOT submittal standards (create 3D surfaces, alignments and profiles)
- Assisting professional engineers in the development of conventional roadway plan sets for FDOT and various City/County clients.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and precise designs for various projects.
- Prepare submittal packages as required for agency permitting and phased review submittals.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in CAD technology
